Llega octubre y lo único que quiero es diciembre. Es llegar a esa meta para al fin después poder descansar. Vacacionar hace bien: así Valeria Pesqueira (una de las diseñadoras más admiradas por INDIGO PEOPLE) sintetiza parte de su concepto para este Verano 2011.

Si bien las preguntas a continuación eran una inspiración para una pequeña contribución en un medio amigo, fue inevitable para mi compartir el mundo de esta joven creativa que mantiene su identidad sin quedar atascada, y que además demuestra que es simple y alegre como sus diseños.

IP: ¿Cómo viene la colección Primavera - Verano 2011?

VP:MUY marinera, classic, mod, elegante y fresca.

IP: ¿Presentaste primero la colección en Japón y luego en Baires?

VP: Sí. Desde 2008 que voy cada temporada a prensentar la colección allá antes que acá. Pero ellos compran ahora y les entrego dentro de 4 meses, por lo que el verano 011 lo disfrutan primero las argentinas que las japonesas!

IP: Este invierno, por ejemplo, hubo estampas de tigres, inspiradas en el año del tigre para el horóscopo chino. ¿Cuáles son las referencias que tomaste para este verano? Veo barcos, playas, sombrillas…. Viento…

VP: Vacacionar hace bien, esa es la idea para este verano. Que la gente se refresque. Que tome energías para empezar el año más liviana. Que haga lo que más le gusta en esos días libres. Escuchar música. Dibujar. Ver películas. Respirar. Correr. Sentir la lluvia. Ver el sol y la luna con otra cabeza. No pensar en nada. De ahí viene mi inspiración, de la contemplación de todo eso.

IP: ¿Quienés contribuyen con el diseño de las estampas?

VP: Esta temporada trabajó Ana Laura Perez, y dos de las estampas las hicimos nosotras.

IP: ¿Qué inspira a Valeria Pesqueira (palabras sueltas, conceptos, imágenes)?

VP en Imágenes: desde un packaging viejo hasta una casa hecha con rasti. También ver los productos nuestros en su nuevo entorno. Mis sobrinos disfrutando de lo que hago. Mi cocina. Los carteles y la comida en Tokyo.

VP en Conceptos: hoy estoy muy conectada con la gente. Con lo que busca y siente. Con darles lo que los haga disfrutar más de la vida. Lo que los haga tomarse tiempo para encontrarse, para relajar. Siento que es lo que necesitamos. Tenemos mucho y no tenemos tiempo de disfrutarlo. Siento que esto está cambiando. La gente lo está sintiendo y pidiendo. Y de acásalen los grandes cambios: de la gente.

VP en Palabras sueltas: naturaleza. felicidad. sonrisas. barcos. agua. flores. animales. ciudades nuevas. juguetes. condimentos de cocina. barrio chino. cultura. costumbres. árboles. ríos. mascotas. artículos de librería viejos. colores. olores. música. mapas. almanaques viejos. sobres. etiquetas. cuadernos. m&m. vinilos. teddy bears. instrumentos de música. papeles de regalo. peluches. rasti.

IP: Tuvimos Bear to Wear, después llego un amigo para nuestro oso: el pequeño elefante. ¿Va a seguir la serie de carteras personificadas?

VP: Sííí! Tenemos todo el zoológico para personificar. Ya verán.

IP: Pesqueira niños:¿es algo que viene y va?

VP: Es algo a pedido del público. ¡Algun día vendrá para quedarse! Me gusta mucho llevar las prendas de mujer a niños, me parece que es muy de la marca. Tiene que ver con mis clientas ya que todas tienen niños. Más allá de la marca, entendemos que lo que proponemos tiene que ver con un estilo de vida.

ECO SCI-FI

Influencias étnicas, caprichos urbanos, ultralujo… : podría ser una mezcla rara de conjugar, pero Camille Wellton (artista y diseñadora pro-eco) este invierno 2010 diseño Dakini y ahí entendimos que tan rara no era.
El presente es su inspiración.
Su imagen hace sentir futuro, huelo a Balenciaga.
El futuro de Camille es un futuro a consciencia por cierto, ya que esta colección está compuesta íntegramente de fibras naturales, difícil de creer siendo que sus diseños son todo menos rústicos.
La colección inspira cierta frialdad,…distancia, aunque sus líneas y formas dibujen curvas orgánicas

Ethnic influences, urban whims, ultraluxury …: it might be a rare mixture of bringing together, but Camille Wellton (artist and pro-echo designer) this winter 2010 has designed Dakini and then we understood that so rare it was not.

The present is her inspiration.

Her image makes feel future, I smell Balenciaga.

The future of Camille is a future to certainly conscience, since this collection is composed entirely of natural fibers, difficult to believe being that his designs are everything but rustic.

The collection inspires certain coldness, … distance, though his lines and forms draw organic curves.

Mezcla de rock & roll y tribu indígena (más precisamente los Onas) esta Argentina de tan solo 24 años me impacta desde Central St. Martins, London. - tan cerca y tan lejos.

Experimenta texturas, proporciones y textiles. Todavía no cuenta con extensas colecciones pero cada una de sus prendas parece ser única y memorable.

Pieles, estampas de arte rupestre super chic, elasticidad y brillos le dan vida a una coleccion que suena a The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Something of Balenciaga mixed with a touch of fetishist and autochthonous sparkles: Florencia Kozuch.

Mixture of rock and roll and tribe (More precisely the Onas) this girl from Argentina of only 24 years impresses me from Central St. Martins, London. - so nearby and so far away.

Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair es una marca del norte de Europa, Sueca. Fue fundada por Astrid Olsson y Lee Cotter en 2004. Comenzó como una experimentación de tejidos solamente para chicas, hoy evoluciono y tiene una colección HOMBRE MUJER que va mas allá de un simple tejido, es la experimentación de la silueta y el material en un mismo eje, es la re estructuración de una compleja sastrería.

Esta colección Otoño Invierno 2010, completa de sobredimensiones y envolventes asimétricos es la mixtura de dos culturas: Japonesa y British.

Ropa deportiva y sastrería tradicional conjugadas de una manera única con una paleta llena de contrastes y con tensiones en rojos y purpuras resultan una imagen orgánica cuasi futurista.

Hoy, primero de Marzo y después de varias semanas de ausencia vacacional empieza otro año escolar. La mañana tiene otro sonido… se escuchan niños en la calle y el olor a verano comienza a irse… Peter Jensen y su ultima colecciòn MURIEL me recuerdan un poco a esta mañana …

Con Nina Persson de The Cardigans cantando de fondo, Jensen, diseñador de origen dinamarqués, presentó su colección Otoño Invierno 2010 en New York. Una colección 100% british, con una imagen ciertamente lolita/escolar. Soquetes con zapatos llenos de volados, pantalones pinzados y jumpers… una paleta en donde reinan los grises y materialidades como escoceses, lanas y terciopelos completan este look ciertamente girly pero con algunos toques masculinos.

En nuestra descripción nos referimos a Elleven, marca new yorker diseñada por Min Lee. Sus construcciones aparentemente conocidas, son únicas.
Piezas que pueden conjugarse y ser mezcladas entre sí, pero a la vez pueden estar solas, cada prenda representa la individualidad.
Una marca 100% usable…100% simple y no por eso deja de ser 100% bella.

Surface 2 Air, una agencia creativa francesa de la cual Indigo ya es FAN. Hemos publicado su trabajo en conjunto con el fotógrafo Sølve Sundsbø y hoy volvemos a postearlo ya que lanza una mini colección limitada en conjunto con Kings Of Leon (banda mainstream de Nashville, Tennessee). La colección está basada en el estilo de la banda, con un look claramente rocker y 100% ponible. Chaquetas de cuero negro, cinturones trenzados, pañuelos y jeans, entre otras prendas y complementos. La VEDETTE: botas de cuero que cualquier hombre debería tener hoy en su guardarropas.
La colección estará disponible a partir del mes de diciembre en los locales de Paris y Capenhague.

Surface 2 air is the creative freench agency that Indigo is already a big fan of. We have already posted their work with Solve Sundsbo and today we post again. This time around with the launch of a mini limited collecton with Kings of Leon (mainstream rock band from Nashville, Tennessee). This collection has a clear rock inspiration and it is 100% wearable. It has black leather jackets, braided belts, scarfs and jeans among other garments and complements.
The HIGHLIGHT: leather boots that every guy should have in the wardrobe nowadays.
The collection will be available in Paris and Copenhaguen in December

Louise Gray es una diseñadora escocesa quien estudio Arte en la escuela de Glasgow y luego hizo su postgrado en moda en Central Saint Martins. Seguimos apostando a los diseñadores que no se quedan con una visión simplista relacionada con las tendencias mundiales, sino a aqeullos que fusionan la moda con el arte, obteniendo como resultado diseños únicos y con carácter.
Louise Gray comenzó hace ya cinco temporadas con la marca que lleva su nombre. Esta colección de Primavera/Verano tiene destellos de color y una amplia gama de materialidades. El contraste y la superposición de materiales es la clave de sus diseños y por lo tanto, de su colección completa. De esta manera -y sumando a esto técnicas de bordado y estampas- logra efectos trompe l'eoile que dan a sus diseños una personalidad única.

Después de varias semanas sin update, después de varias semanas de un Indigo silencioso, juntamos fuerzas para presentar Bandoleiro. Una marca 100% Argentina con una propuesta totalmente diferenciada, donde una vez más arte y moda se fusionan. Es difícil para mí ser objetiva, Gerardo Dubois, su diseñador, no es solamente un amigo, sino alguien a quien yo admiro plenamente.
Bandoleiro comenzó hace al menos tres años, comenzó siendo una especie de juego: Gerardo tomaba una prenda, la desarmaba y la volvía a armar a su manera, generando así un nuevo y único diseño. Hoy no deja de jugar, pero sumó a su colección algunos ítems diseñados y confeccionados totalmente a mano desde cero. Bandoleiro propone un look que roza lo ochentoso, que además en esta colección se pone un tanto ¨selvático¨, es un look para gente arriesgada y con personalidad. Mis ítems favoritos, los buzos X – large con cuellos volcados.
Bandoleiro ya hizo algunas apariciones en la revista Nylon, en la Blackbook y forma parte de la galería APPETITE.

After several weeks in silence, indigo people makes a come back to introduce BANDOLEIRO. A 100% argentinian brand (where art and fashion once again merge) this time with a different offer-proposal. Its hard for me being objective for the fact Gerardo dubois, the designer is not only my friend, is someone i broadly admire.Bandoleiro begins at least 3 years ago and started like some kind of game. Gerardo took a piece, dismantled it, and then brought it back together in his own way. producing a new and unique design. Nowadays, he still "play" but added some hand made itmes designed anew. Bandoleiro propose a style that recalls the 80`s and in this ultimate collection it turns to be jungle like.

Combinaciones de texturas, jeans nevados, pitucones que remiten a años

escolares, vestidos y buzos. La última colección Twenty Seven Names nos

lleva un un mundo vinculado con la niñez, la escuela y la dulzura. Ésta es

la inspiración madre de sus dos diseñadoras, Rachel Easting y Anjali

Stewart, amigas desde la infancia. Streetwear con personalidad que nos

cuenta algo de los ´90, donde estas chicas solían ser adolecentes.

Comenzaron en el 2006, una de ellas con diploma en arte y la otra, en moda.

La marca no deja de lado sus raíces urbanas, pero siempre mantiene cierta

estética artística. La marca debutó en el 2007 en AIR NEW ZEALAND FASHION

WEEK, donde recibió premios a nivel nacional e internacional. Una firma a la

que Indigo le pone 100% de fichas!

world linked with childhood, school and sweetness. This is the main

inspiration of these two designers, Rachel Easting y Anjali Stewart,

Von Sono es una marca de origen alemán, su diseñadora, Stephanie Oberg, nació en Munich y se recibió de diseñadora en 1999. Después de varias exposiciones y experimentaciones (claramente aquí hay un ejemplo para los que todavía creen que la indumentaria no debería llamarse ARTE) lanza su primera colección en el 2004.
Esta primavera 2009/2010 propone una paleta de colores neutros, dimensiones extra grandes sin delimitar la silueta, materialidades suaves y muy femeninas. El HIT, la parca de denim nevado.
La imagen que concluye la colección es un tanto andrógina y oscura, pero, a su vez, muy suave y hasta un poco aniñada.

Es elegante, chic, sus paletas de colores son más que acertadas, las materialidades excelentes, los cortes parecen ser hechos a medida y la confección totalmente impecable. Vilsbol de Arce es una marca que conocí de casualidad saltando de página en página en mi amada internet. Inmediatamente, su imagen me llamó la atención y he aquí la presentación de ellas para Uds. y para mí.
Prisca Vilsbol y Pia de Arce se conocieron estudiando en la Copenhagen Fashion & Design School. Después de terminar sus estudios en el 2002 comenzaron esta marca creando prendas de corte arquitectónico, casi futurista, que explora nuevas siluetas del cuerpo humano. Superposiciones y volumen son las claves de la exploración de estas dos chicas, que concluyen en un diseño independiente sumamente elegante.
En el 2005 ganaron el premio al gran talento de la moda en Bread & Butter. Vale la pena explorar lo que estas chicas proponen, vale la pena a veces sentirse inspirados por gente que crea desde la inocencia, por fuera de la contaminación de las grandes tendencias y exigencias de la moda.

Vilsbol de Arce is a brand that I came across by chance while drifting from site to site on my dearest Internet. Immediately their image called my attention and it is why i want to introduce them to you… and to me.
Prisca Vilsbol and Pia de Arce met when they were studying in Copenhagen Fashion and Design School. After finishing their studies in 2002 they began this brand creating garments of architectural and futurist cut that explores new silhouettes of the human body. Overlappings and volume are the keys of the exploration of these two girls that concludes in an independent extremely elegant design. In 2005 they won the Bread and Butter prize to great talent of fashion. THE QUEEN OF ARTS

Las colecciones Resort últimamente llaman mi atención más que las propias colecciones de verano o invierno. Al sentirse más libres entre temporadas, los diseñadores parecieran tener el valor de crear más allá de los límites de las tendencias.
Alexander McQueen nunca necesitó valor, siempre fue un diseñador sin miedo a tomar riesgos. Esta temporada Women´s Resort 2010 sorprende con una línea de corte masculino con algunos toques románticos. Además, McQueen -que siempre fusiona el arte con la moda- se inspira en artistas como M. C. Escher, por sus recortes y gráficos matemáticos; o en Pollock y Basquiat, por sus manchas y salpicones de pintura.
Además McQueen logra de esta colección algo sumamente usable, accesible, un real ready to wear, por momentos me recuerda a Marc Jacobs, quizás por eso hace que este Resort me den ganas de subirme al crucero.

The Resort collections are currently drawing my attention more than the Winter and Summer collections. Feeling more free between the seasons seems to have caused designers to muster up the courage to think and create outside of the current trends.

Alexander Mac Queen does not need any more courage as he has always been a designer that isn’t afraid to take risks. This season’s Resort 2010 surprises with us masculine cuts and romantic touches. Moreover, Mac Queen, who always fuses fashion with art, is inspired by M.C. Escher’s cuts and mathematical graphics, Pollock and Basquiat’s spots and paint strokes.

Mac Queen achieved something extremely useful and accessible with this collection. In many ways he reminds me of Marc Jacobs…probably because he gives me the desire to go on a cruise.

No sé si es la mejor película que vi en mi vida, pero trato sobre quien fue claramente la mejor diseñadora, la mejor mujer, un ícono y una inspiración.

¨Coco Avant Chanel¨ narra la historia de la joven Gabrielle desde su infancia hasta la apertura de su Maison en Paris. No se centra la atención en lo original de sus creaciones y su arte, sino en su vida, en su carácter trasgresor, en la impronta que dejó en su época.
Situaciones muy dispares hicieron que su vida quedase marcada por la pobreza, el abandono, el amor, la genialidad y la fama (algunas causas de estas situaciones podemos verlas en la película).

El afiche original de la película mostraba a Audrey Tatou (la actriz elegida para el film) fumando un cigarrillo, fue prohibido por el sistema de salud francés por poco saludable y poco apropiado. Si bien los productores de la película cambiaron el cartel sostienen que sin dudas este representa a la verdadera Coco Chanel, con su fuerte personalidad y su modernidad.

I don´t know if it is the best movie I saw in my life, but clearly the best designer, the best woman, an icon and an inspiration. Coco Avant Chanel shows us the story of Gabrielle from her childhood up to the opening of her Maison in Paris. The movie does not centre on the originality of her designs, but how transgressor she was for her time, so much as a woman and as a designer. Her life was strucked by poverty, abandonment, love affairs, the genius and the fame, the reasons for these situations are clearly depicted in the movie.The original poster of the movie shows Audrey Tatou (the actress chosen for the film) smoking a cigarette, it was prohibited by the French health system for being unhealthy and slightly inappropiate. Though the producers of the movie changed the poster they stated that without a doubt the original represents the real Coco Chanel, with her strong personality and her modernity.

Inspirada en los años ‘80 -estilo Madonna en Like a Virgen- se presenta la nueva campaña de Marc Jacobs para su colección Otoño Invierno 2009.
Las medias de colores, los contrastes de texturas brillosas (terciopelos, tafetas y lurex), el maquillaje subrayando los ojos y una locación bien sucia y urbana, nos trasladan al post party de cualquier ciudad moderna.
La foto en la que la modelo deja caer su cartera simplemente merece un ¨gracias¨. Todavía me sorprenden cuando, en vez de poner un fondo pleno y una modelo frente a cámara, una campaña opta por transformarse en una obra de arte fotográfica.
Si Juergen Teller es uno de mis fotógrafos de moda predilectos, cuando viene de la mano de Marc Jacobs, simplemente me emociona. Hace 11 años que trabajan juntos, desde 1998 y cada una de sus nuevas propuestas, si bien mantienen la imagen que ya es casi marca registrada, siempre se renuevan y nos sorprenden.

Inspired in the 80´s - Like a Virgin Madonna style - Marc Jacobs's new campaign for his Fall Winter 2009 collection. The colored tights , the contrasts of shinny textures (velvets and lurex), underline eye makeup and a dirty and urban background, transports us to the after party of any modern city.
The photo in which the model is falling her bag simply deserves thank you. I´m still surprised when, instead of a full color background and the model in front to the camera , a campaign chooses to transform into a piece of photographic art.
If Juergen Teller is one of my favorite fashion photographers, when it comes from Marc Jacobs's hand, he simply thrills me. They been working together since 1998 and each of their new campaigs , eventhough they maintain the asesthetic that is already is a registered trademark, they always find a way to resurge and what´s even greater, surprise us.

Richardson Mag es una revista online creada por Andrew Richardson. Es una revista con un contenido controversial altamente fetichista. (No recomendable para gente impresionable ni recatada). YOKOO es una marca de accesorios tejidos a mano. Son artesanías elevadas al nivel de un producto, son prolijos y a la vez únicos. Logró hacer de su hobby adolescente una marca con público fiel y creativo.
Vinchas con pompones, bolsos, bufandas, anteojos tejidos, clips para zapatillas, son algunos de los artículos que propone. El ítem que debo destacar y que deseo desde que conocí a YOKOO a través del Flickr, son las cadenas hechas al crochet en diferentes dimensiones (tipo bling bling).
Yokoo su diseñadora es tambien la modelo y la fotógrafa de su propia marca. Sus fotografías tienen un gran sentido estilístico, son lúdicas e irónicas. Relatan la historia de su creadora en su propio mundo.

YOKOO´s an accessories brand made by hand . They are crafts raised at the level of a product, are well made but simultaneously uniques, achievement to do of her teen hobby a brand with faithful and creative public.
Headbands with pompoms, bags, scarves and woven spectacles are some of the articles that she proposes. The ITEM that I must recomend and that I wish since I knew YOKOO truoght the Flickr, are the crochet chains in different dimensions (like a bling bling).
Yokoo, her designer, it is also the model of her own brand as well as the photographer. Her photographies make a great stylistic sense, are playful and ironic. They tells us the history of the creative own world.

Nixon es una marca de relojes que lleva 8 años en el mercado. Ubicada en el sur de California, ciudad que se caracteriza por el desarrollo de deportes como el skate, el surf y el snowboard. Nixon reunió lideres de cada una de estas áreas y junto a ellos creó un equipo para poder responder sus necesidades: relojes que puedan sobrevivir a una vida extrema sin dejar de tener un diseño diferenciado.
Nixon no se quedó solamente con esta gama de relojes, evolucionó y no dejó de crear. Nixon creó diseños como el Vega, el Misty o el Tribella que son clásicos, pero modernos; de policarbonato, símiles a pulseras y se presentan en una amplia gama de colores. Son relojes que no parecen serlo, son accesorios con función.
Nixon hizo una alianza con la revista Nylon y le dieron un toque más fashionista a su Vega, agregaron un eslabón en dorado a la pulsera, y dieron con una pieza que parece un caramelo de lujo!

GUITAR SOLO

Mr. Karl Lagerfeld cada temporada nos deslumbra con un ítem de lujo para CHANEL; por las pasarelas ya desfilaron bicicletas, equipos de pesca y de ski. Esta temporada Primavera Verano 2009 fue la guitarra y su funda. Es una guitarra negra, simple, con la inscripción de la marca en el clavijero. Viene con una correa marrón, blanca y negra con el logo en el detalle de cuero. Además presentaron la funda con el famoso matelaseado de Chanel en cuero blanco, cual su famosa cartera.
Objetivamente no creo que ningún músico profesional elija este instrumento, no son objetos hechos para meticulosos del área sino que son ítems para que los fans de la marca puedan encontrar objetos extraordinarios con su logo preferido.

Mi tía siempre quiso despertar en mí el interés por la música, me regaló un órgano, una armónica y hasta una guitarra, pero nunca dio resultado. Quizás, si hubiera existido esta, hoy estaría arriba del escenario!

This Summer Spring 2009 season was all about guitars and their cases. A simple black guitar with the brand´s inscription in the top. It comes with a brown, white and black strap that includes the logo in the leather detail. It was also presented in white leather resembling the famous Chanel bag.
I believe that no professional musician would ever choose it since they are just fancy objects, ment for Chanel fans, who worship the house logo.
My aunt always wanted me to turned up a musician, she gave me an organ, a harmonica and also a guitar, but this did not work out. Probably, if Chanel’s guitar would have existed I’d be giving concerts already.

El término indie proviene del inglés independent, que en general se usa para designar a cualquiera de los géneros, subculturas y atributos estilísticos, caracterizados por su autonomía creativa. De este concepto nace INDIE MAGAZINE.
Fue fundada en Viena en el 2003 y se edita 4 veces por año: Spring en Marzo, Summer en Junio, Fall en Septiembre y Winter en Noviembre. Se edita en más de 10 países en inglés y en alemán.

INDIE tiene una imagen bastante innovadora, digo bastante porque hoy en día es una estética a la que estamos acostumbrados, pero no deja de ser interesante. Las producciones editoriales realizadas por reconocidos fotógrafos retratan en general nuevos talentos tanto del mundo de la moda como de la música.

Yo la dejo, vos mirala!

Indie comes from the English word independent, it refers in general to genres, subcultures and stylistic and cultural attributes, with an autonomous approximation. From this concept INDIE MAGAZINE was born.

Martin Margiela es un artista/diseñador que lleva aproximadamente 30 años en el mundo de la moda y que hoy dice adiós a las pasarelas (o al menos eso dicen). Martin Margiela es un gran misterio, al que nunca se le conoció la cara. En sus principios fue asistente de Jean Paul Gautier, luego abrió su propia “Maison” y hasta ha diseñado para Hermés. Es Junto a Rei Kawakubo (Comme des Garcons) uno de los reyes del descontructivismo. Su look puede parecer futurista; pero se trata de un provocador de la moda que juega con las sobredimensiones y la ironía en sus prendas. Sus diseños no son productos, sino piezas de exposición. Seduce desde su misterio, desde su cara siempre oculta, desde su marcado excentricismo.

Estos diseños son parte de la colección Primavera-Verano 2009 de Maison Martin Marciela (la última, según los trascendidos). Los sacos están hechos de ironía (muchas creerían ser el Tío Cosa), sin embargo nada de lo que hace deja de tener el glamour digno de la capital francesa.

Martin Margiela is an artist / designer who is part of the fashion world since about 30 years ago and today he he steps off the runway, or at least it’s what someone said. Martin is a huge mystery, his face was never known. He was an assistant of Jean Paul Gautier until he opened his own Maison, also he designed for Hermes. He is one of the kings of the descontructivism (together with Rei Kawakubo, Comme des Garcons) his look is kind of futurist and simultaneously he is an instigator of the fashion world, he plays with oversize and the irony of his garments. His designs are more than a product, a piece of exhibition. He seduces me from his mystery, sometimes I don’t understand it but equally affects me, is eclectic and though I don’t know his face, a great eccentric.

These are designs from his Spring - Summer 2009 collection of Maison Martin Margiela. (the last one as we think) The coats with a touch of irony, many people would be thinking about being the Cousin Itt, but they still have THE glamour of the French capital.

Michael Jackson, eterno niño, revolucionario de la música, icono de la cultura pop, personaje que me hizo bailar y cantar durante toda mi vida, personaje que inspiro a millones de artistas, diseñadores y músicos, murió ayer por la tarde en Los Ángeles a causa de un paro cardiaco.
Mi pequeño homenaje: este diseño creación del francés Jean-Charles de Castelbajac para su última colección ready to wear otoño invierno 2009/2010.

Valeria Pesqueira es sin dudas hoy una de las diseñadoras que me inspiran y todavía me dan ganas de consumir vorazmente sin racionalizar el acto. Desarrolla en sus diseños una simpleza calculada de carácter tan propio, que después de 8 años, su marca no deja de tener una identidad, ESO ES DE PESQUEIRA!
BEAR TO WEAR fue sin dudas EL ítem de esta temporada, desde que lo vi en la vidriera no paro de pensar en el. Una cartera pequeña para utilizar en cualquier momento del día o la noche, bella y única. Viene en negro y blanco, cual oso panda y en color suela (marroncito).

Quiero invernar con mi BEAR TO WEAR!

Valeria Pesqueira is without a doubt one of the Argentinean designers that inspired me and still gives me the desire of consuming voraciously without rationalizing the act. She develops in her designs a calculated simplicity of her own character, that after 8 years, her brand still has a strong identity. OH IT IS FROM PESQUEIRA!
BEAR TO WEAR it’s THE accessory of the season; since I saw it through the window of her shop I can’t stop thinking about it. It is a small bag to use any time of the day or night, beautiful and unique. It comes in black and white, like a panda or in brown as the picture.

Cada día son más los blogs que se dedican al cool hunting o caza de tendencias, como se decimos en nuestro hermoso español; pero The New and The Next es diferente. Este proyecto fue impulsado por Mario Delger, un argentino que decidió armar las valijas e irse con el fin de encontrar algo. Y vaya que lo encuentra día a día en las calles de Paris.
The New and The Next tiene una mirada del mundo de la moda donde también se ve reflejado el mundo de su host, Mario. El habla de un style language, no solamente importa lo que la persona tiene puesto, sino lo que comunica con eso. Para aparecer en el blog no necesariamente hay que tener el look más ¨ loco, diferente o cool¨, ya que él presta atención a como la persona se mueve, camina, a los movimientos de sus manos, su cara, es decir: el TODO.
